The Kremlin confirmed that Vladimir Putin discussed in a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden information about the allegedly impending assassination attempt on Alexander Lukashenko. This was announced at a press conference on Monday, April 19, by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
“Yes, [обсуждали]”, – he told reporters on Monday, answering the relevant question.
At the same time, Peskov left without comment on the question of the possible involvement of the Biden administration in the prepared assassination attempt, pointing out that “all information that can be given out is given by special services at their discretion.”
According to him, the detainees discussed “absolutely concrete and absolutely destructive plans” in relation to Lukashenka.
“Therefore, of course, this speaks of great danger,” added Peskov.
Lukashenka made a statement on Saturday that Putin raised the issue of preparing an attempt on the life of the Belarusian leader by the US special services in an interview with Biden.
