Prince Albert of Monaco celebrated his 66th birthday on Thursday.

Prince Albert of Monaco celebrated his 66th birthday on Thursday, March 14. Celebrations were held in Monaco, including the changing of the guard and an orchestra performance.

The palace’s official Instagram account posted photos of the ceremony in Albert’s honor.

– Then Prince Albert, Princess Charlene and children Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella greeted the audience and enjoyed the surprise cake, the palace writes.

The photos show Charlene dressed in a gray knitted dress, Albert dressed in a dark blue suit and the little royals in their party clothes.

Albert, the hero of the day, had the honor of cutting the first piece of the multi-layered, red and white cake.

The palace also released a video showing a large crowd of Monacons waving red and white congratulatory flags. The video also reveals that the royal family also greeted the audience from the balcony.
