“Positive but submissive Marek is preparing to celebrate his bachelor party, which his domineering bride Ilze doesn’t like very much – in her opinion, everything must be perfect and tasteful. However, the event planned by Marek and his friend Koļa turns out to be completely different from what was planned, and as a result Ilze breaks off his relationship with Marek and cancels the wedding. However, Marek does not give up and, together with Koļ and Tina, whom he met by chance, embarks on a journey full of crazy situations to get his bride back! “Almost a Bachelor” is a new and fresh domestic romantic comedy about well-known and familiar topics! ” with this annotation the film is offered to the audience.
“Almosta vecpuisis” is the debut feature film of the new director Rihardas Romuš. The director with his creative association “Kino Parks” has made short films, music videos for the performers “Sudden Lights”, “Kreisais Krasts” and others, as well as commercials for major domestic and international brands.
“At the center of the story is love, which is based on the desire to understand each other, on communication, on the passion for the return and on maintaining it. Trust, solving the situation and crazy adventure is what characterizes this film. Sometimes you have to risk everything to achieve what you want, ” says Rihards Romuš. “When selecting the actors, we decided to give the main roles to young people. Nowadays, young people are getting married more and more often at the age of 23-29, and in this film we show a new and fresh perspective on marriages at a young age.”
The film “Almost a Bachelor” was made without state funding, with own and studio funds. The filmmakers thus ensured creative freedom, passionately and freshly creating a story that is relevant to themselves and the people around them. The new work is permeated by the creators’ energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor.
The film stars: Dante Pecolli, Rudolfs Kozlovskis, Monta Kārkliņa, Krista Hotuļeva, Jānis Jarāns, Lauris Zalāns and others.
It should be noted that Dante’s parents are the famous illusionist couple Dace and Enriko Pecolli, who last year received an award for their personal contribution to the strengthening of Italian-Latvian cultural relations and the implementation of cultural projects, popularizing the art of illusionism.
