Police will close streets for Trump rally in Hialeah and presidential debate in Miami

Former President Donald J. Trump, who aims to return to the White House in the next presidential election in 2024, will hold a political rally in the city of Hialeah, this as part of his strategy to obtain the Republican nomination.

This activity will take place on the afternoon and evening of this Wednesday, November 8, at the same time that the third Republican presidential debate will take place in the city of Miami, a few miles from the rally.

The middle Telemundo 51 indicated that Trump’s rally will take place at Ted Hendricks Stadium at Henry Milander Park, opening the doors at 2:00 p.m. The businessman is expected to take the stage to share a message at 7:00 p.m.

This action, in addition to highlighting the political importance of Florida in the elections, also makes it clear that Trump feels confident that he will obtain said candidacy, since he does not see it necessary to attend the important debate.

Street closures

In that sense, hundreds of his followers are expected to crowd the streets during the rally, which is why Miami-Dade County authorities have warned the population about possible traffic delays due to the closure of some streets.

Through an official statement, the Hialeah and Miami police indicated that the rally would cause the closure of several streets in the residential area surrounding Henry Milander Park, since the tycoon’s event will take place at Ted Hendricks Stadium. The letter states that parking and lines will open at 8:00 a.m. and access will begin at 2:00 p.m.

For its part, the third debate of the candidates for the presidential candidacy will take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, and about 1,700 people are expected to attend.

Therefore, the police said that the surrounding streets would be closed starting at 1:00 pm, a measure that will continue until 1:00 am on Thursday, November 9.

The bulletin shared by the authorities highlights that Biscayne Boulevard between NE 11th Street and NE 15th Street and N. Bayshore Drive between NE 13th Street and 15th Street will be completely closed.

Police explained that drivers heading north on Biscayne Boulevard will be detoured at NE 11th Street, so they can continue west to NE 1st Avenue and turn north again.

Those heading south on the same street will be directed to NE 15th Street, then directed west to NE 2nd Avenue, from where they can continue south.
