Police seized two phones in November. These came from two drug dealers who are still in custody. Police decided on Friday to send a mass text message to a thousand contacts from those phones.
The intent of the message is to make addicts aware of the dark side of the world of drugs. The police want to give them a gateway to help with drug addiction.
According to the police, drug addicts are mostly between the ages of 17 and 23. They mostly ordered medications for weekends and holidays.
Phone numbers that received an SMS were once used for this purpose. Police emphasize that they do not share numbers with others and that the action does not lead to a record in police systems.
