Police found teens extinguishing the Eternal Flame

Police of Nizhny Tagil (Sverdlovsk region) quickly found teenagers who put out the Eternal Flame. These are students of the 7th grade of a local school, one is 13 years old, the other is 14.

Together with the legal representatives of the young vandals, they were taken to the duty unit. Teenagers will be interviewed, after which a decision will be made. Pupils will be registered with the juvenile affairs service; parents will probably be brought to administrative responsibility, reports TASS. The school will conduct preventive activities and give lectures.

A criminal case on vandalism has already been opened on the fact of extinguishing the Eternal Flame.

Earlier it was reported that on the evening of May 29, young people poured water on the Eternal Flame on the Glory Square in Nizhny Tagil, they were captured by a surveillance camera. The record shows that the youths purposefully approached the monument, filled the flames with liquid from the bottle and left.

Recently, cases of inappropriate attitude towards memorials have become more frequent in different cities of Russia. So, in Odintsovo near Moscow, men heated water in a bucket on the Eternal Flame, in Kronstadt a man and two women thought of frying sausages in a flame.
