There is less and less for the World event of Pokémon GOwhere the best coach of the year will be known. Niantic has scheduled this event for August 18 in London, England.

“The 2022 Pokémon World Championships will take place August 18-21, 2022 in London, England at the ExCeL London Exhibition Center.

And Pokémon GO qualifiers from around the world will compete to see who will take the crown of Pokémon GO World Champion 2022!”, is detailed in the official blog of the video game.

From Thursday, August 18 to Sunday, August 21, the company will broadcast the entire event through the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel. The event has been scheduled at 12 noon (Peruvian time).

Clothes for the celebration avatar

Two new avatar items will be available in-game in celebration of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships!

• World Cup 2022 shirt: Available worldwide through a shared code during the broadcast of the World Championship. The code will also be distributed on the official Pokémon GO social networks shortly after and will be valid until August 23, 2022 at 1:00 a.m. CEST (Aug 22 at 23:59 UTC).
  
• World Cup 2022 Participant T-shirt: Available at the PokéStop located at the Pokémon GO booth at the World Championships venue in London during the event.

Pokemon debut

You will be able to get a special Pikachu with the Worlds 2022 costume. Remember that it will not appear in the wild, but will be a reward from raids, field research, and seasonal research.

Event bonus

Rivals with Pokémon teams inspired by Trainers who won the Pokémon GO Regional Championship will appear at PokéStops.

The maximum number of GO Battle League series you can play per day will increase from 5 to 10, for a total of 50 battles.
