Authorities are investigating a Manhattan pit bull attack on a 2-year-old girl.
The incident occurred on Sunday, around 12:30 pm, inside the lobby of a residence in 2155 Madison in Manhattan, sources told our sister network NBC 4.
It was inside that room that the 2-year-old was with her mother and a stranger walked into the lobby with two pit bulls, sources say. One of the dogs allegedly attacked the girl and bit her on the face. The minor’s mother grabbed the attacking dog and the second dog attacked the mother, they added.
The owner of the dogs fled to the elevator.
The minor was taken to the Harlem hospital and has multiple injuries to her face.
The investigation is ongoing. There are no arrests so far.
