Following the violent attacks and mutilations of many horses all over France, the owners of equines, worried, decided to help each other thanks to a Facebook group.
In recent months, horses have been found mutilated all over France. In Vendée, Jura, Somme, Normandy and even in the South West, these attacks took place in the four corners of France, without apparent link between them.

Eye ripped out, sexual organs severed, ears severed, the scenes are worthy of horror films. In total, there are about twenty cases, listed by the gendarmes of the Central Office for the fight against attacks on the environment and public health (Oclaesp) of Pontoise.
Faced with these violent attacks, many owners and professionals have decided to organize themselves on a Facebook group. Pauline Sarrazin, owner of a mare killed near Dieppe, is at the origin of the group soberly titled “Justice for our horses”.
A criminal with medical training?
In a survey conducted by 20 minutes, Pauline Sarrasin details the objectives of this private group which “aims to bring together the victim owners and invite the equine community to be vigilant. The latter is already followed by more than 6,500 followers. « The goal is that people who have lost a horse or a donkey in similar circumstances can come into contact. We must corner those who murder our horses, ”explains the 23-year-old.
When his mare Lady was killed last June, the police initially accepted the thesis of natural death. His right ear and muzzle had been severed, and his eye severed. “Some owners may have thought that their animal had died of natural causes, and that it had then been devoured by crows,” she explains. The group will then compare their testimonies with those of other victims. For Pauline, there is a lot more business than you think.
At present, the police are exploring several avenues. A macabre challenge on the internet, a satanic ritual, a solitary individual… According to Pauline, the cutting of the organs was “surgical”. She therefore suspects someone who knows animals. The police are also exploring European avenues, similar facts having occurred over the past 20 years in Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
