London (awp / afp) – The price of a barrel of American WTI fell Friday during the European session, hitting a low since the end of 2001, betraying the feverishness of investors towards the American crude industry.
Around 12:55 GMT (2:55 PM in Paris), the barrel of WTI for delivery in May dropped 10.02% compared to the closing Thursday, at 17.88 dollars, shortly after touching 17.53 dollars.
A barrel of Brent North Sea crude for June delivery was worth $ 28.00 in London, up 0.65%.
