In anticipation of the release of the Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics cards, AMD allowed its AIB partners to experiment with factory overclocking. Many vendors did not fail to take advantage of this, adding confusion to the characteristics of the video card. For example, some models of the Radeon RX 5600 XT received impressive overclocking of the GPU and memory, which provided them with a tangible advantage over lower-speed relatives.
At the same time, AMD itself has long stated that the Radeon RX 5600 XT is equipped only with GDDR6 chips with an effective frequency of 12 GHz. The company finally decided to change its position and even published on the official website list of video cards with 14 GHz memory. Some of them are already available in retail channels, while others recommend updating the firmware. Links to manuals for specific models are also present.
