How to forbid a child
If you constantly shout “no” to a child without explaining the reasons, he may grow up obedient, but hardly independent.
The word “no” should only denote the most strict prohibitions. For example, concerning safety (do not stick your fingers into the socket).
In other cases, try to use restrictive conditions.
For example, do not answer “no” to the child’s demand to play with him immediately, but say that in 15 minutes you will finish things and then play. Just be sure to keep your promise.
