The official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Muhammad Al-Abdali, said that seasonal flu activity these days may be stronger than in previous seasons.
The spokesperson explained live today (Saturday) that seasonal flu can lead to death, so this virus must be tackled with preventive methods, the most important of which is taking the seasonal flu vaccine, as it protects by 80% from severe symptoms and reducing critical cases.
And he indicated that an increasing number of patients are being monitored in emergency departments for injury, so everyone must be careful not to be exposed to rain and cold drafts.
And he stressed the need to take all the necessary preventive measures in the event of a virus infection to limit the transmission of the infection to others, wearing a mask and keeping a sufficient distance between himself and others.
He explained that it is important to provide the necessary preventive precautions, especially for the elderly, pregnant women, children under 5 and people with chronic diseases.
