New York Careers Forum 2022 connects young Vietnamese | Society

New York (VNA) – More than 100 Vietnamese youth and students studying and working in the United States participated in a career forum held Saturday (March 26) in New York by the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association.

The event was held at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, featuring a series of activities, such as an online forum on studying in the United States for high school students, career consultations , especially in the fields of finance and technology, and a conference to help Vietnamese youth and students to guide their careers and connect with high-potential companies in the world, especially in the United States .

Ambassador Dang Hoàng Giang, head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, affirmed that young Vietnamese, whether working in Vietnam or abroad, matter to the country, helping to elevate its position and raise the value of the Vietnamese people internationally.

Every student or young person living, working and studying abroad is an ambassador of Vietnam who helps promote the nation’s image in the world and bring back the knowledge of the world to their home country, he said. he adds.

More than 600 young people participated in the program’s webinars, not counting about 35,000 young Vietnamese around the world who attended the event via video conference.

During the event, many Vietnamese companies headquartered abroad and many foreign companies headquartered in Vietnam expressed their willingness to recruit excellent and ambitious young Vietnamese students.

According to US data, Vietnam has around 26,000 students studying in the US, ranking sixth among the countries with the most students studying in the US in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Meanwhile, statistics from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training show that about 190,000 Vietnamese are currently studying abroad. – VNA
