After the capture of José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, alias “El Marro”, leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, a new video of alleged members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) circulates.
Through the recording, they indicated that they are pleased to learn of the arrest of José Antonio Yépez and that “peace and security will be maintained in the state” of Guanajuato.
They clarified, in the video for almost two minutes, that the war was against “El Marro”, because he kills innocents and because of his bad actions.

José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, alias “El Marro”, alleged leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, is currently admitted to the Federal Center for Social Readaptation 1, “El Altiplano”.
Next Tuesday it will be known if the presumed leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel will be linked to a process for the crimes of organized crime and fuel theft that the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) imputes to him.
In an initial hearing held at the Federal Criminal Justice Center of the Altiplano maximum security prison, in the State of Mexico, which ended at dawn this Saturday, the defense of Yépez Ortiz asked the federal judge in the case to duplicate the constitutional term to collect evidence in favor of his client arrested last Sunday by the Army in a community in the municipality of Juventino Rosas.
