On Saturday afternoon, a patrol crew from the Neu-Ulm police station was called to a traffic accident with property damage.
On site it turned out that the new owner sitting in the passenger seat had bought the car involved in the accident just 10 minutes earlier. Since he doesn’t have a driver’s license himself, he asked an acquaintance to take the car for him. The transfer journey was already over on Reuttier Straße because they collided with another car while changing lanes and caused property damage. When the vehicle documents were checked, it turned out that the previously purchased car was not registered. There were license plates on the vehicle, but they were issued for another car. Further travel had to be stopped. Criminal proceedings were initiated against both the owner of the passenger seat and the driver.
