The NASA-led commission is now under investigation to see if the problem has damaged any part of the Webb telescope. According to NASA, the tests should last until the end of the week. The telescope is one of the most expensive space projects – it was originally expected to cost about $ 1.7 billion, but now the costs have climbed to about ten billion dollars, or about 220 billion crowns.

The Webb Telescope is an international project by the US, European and Canadian space agencies to explore every phase of space history – from our solar system to the most distant observable galaxies in the early universe.

Scientists will use it primarily to study the evolution of the first galaxies and stars after the Big Bang, with which, according to scientific theory, the universe began. One of the important goals will be to look for signs of possible life outside the solar system. The researchers promise from the telescope that they will make new and unexpected discoveries and that it will help humanity understand the origin of the universe and our place in it.

If launched, it will be scheduled to be the leading space observatory in the next decade, available to thousands of astronomers around the world. It will become a kind of open window through which humanity can observe places it has not yet seen from its earthly home.
