Montauban. Police put an end to underground company party

About sixty people gathered for a clandestine evening organized in a storage shed of a company in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne), on the night of Saturday 10 to Sunday 11 April. Alerted by the noise, a resident would have contacted the police, who put an end to this party organized in full curfew and in defiance of the rules in force to fight against Covid-19, reports La Dépêche du Midi.

Participants try to escape through the roof

When the police arrived, some participants tried to flee, in particular through the roof of the hangar. Five were however arrested but the police preferred not to pursue the fugitives for fear of an accident, the company being located near a bypass.

In total, five people were fined € 135. An investigation was also opened. According to information from the regional daily, the son of the owner of the company would have organized this party for the birthday of one of his friends. Contacted by our colleagues, the father of the alleged organizer said he was not aware of anything: « jdiscovered the damage on Sunday morning. My son did not ask me anything and the hangar in question is not part of the site ».
