Mike Pompeo issued a tough warning to the regime of Nicolás Maduro after the attack on Juan Guaidó: “They are responsible for their safety and well-being”

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo On Tuesday, he issued a harsh warning to the regime of Nicolás Maduro about the life of the interim president, Juan Guaidó. “They are responsible for their safety and well-being,” he said.

“The UN Office for Human Rights has called for an end to the gangs backed by the regime, such as the Chavista groups, because Venezuelans need security; nonviolence and predation ”, added the head of US diplomacy through Twitter.

Finally, he recalled that about sixty countries support Guaidó and the Venezuelan people, “but we must all do more for them.”

Pompeo’s statements arrive after last Saturday Guaidó denounces having been the victim of an attack by Chavista groups during a mobilization in the city of Barquisimeto.

Indeed, the vehicle in which the political leader was transported received nine bullet impacts.

The cowardly cowardly dictatorship tried to assassinate me. Nine bullet impacts received my vehicle”, Guaidó denounced, during a live video on his Twitter account. “Nicolás Maduro is a coward who can’t go out on the streets and that’s why he sends armed groups”he added.

The political leader also pointed against the powerful Chavista Diosado Cabello, whom he also described as a coward and said he is “detested” by the people. “That’s why they add our people this way,” he said.

Immediately, the episode was condemned by the international community and, last Sunday, the country’s former attorney general Luisa Ortega Díaz, who is in exile in Bogotá, said that will present evidence before international justice on the links of the Maduro regime with the attack.

– –

“In Venezuela there is no justice. Thus, I have decided to collect all the necessary elements to ensure that international justice punishes the material and intellectual authors of the attack against President Juan Guaidó and the people of Barquis. That fact will not go unpunished, ”said the former head of the Venezuelan Public Ministry (MP), through his Twitter account.

– –

“Any citizen who wants to help with information about the event and those involved in the attack can send it to the email [email protected]. All content received will be handled under strict confidentiality, ”he added.

Photographs published this week show the exact moment when the Chavista groups, clash groups of the Maduro regime, pointed guns at Guaidó. They are two blunt images and one of them shows how the interim president of Venezuela warns of danger.
