Migrants continue to worry – a burst of anger was filmed in Medininkai

According to Delfi sources, migrants’ dissatisfaction and clashes with officials arose after one foreigner fainted in the camp.

The disabled woman allegedly was not called for an ambulance, which provoked the anger of the migrants. It is said that the medics arrived only after about an hour.

Giedrius Mišutis, a representative of the State Border Guard Service, specified that the medics had been driving for about half an hour.

“At the registration center, in the women’s sector of modular houses, after 9 pm, several foreigners approached that one of them needed help. Immediately, 9 p.m. 12 minutes, the border guards called for help. While the ambulance was driving, she arrived at 9 p.m. 40 minutes, about 50 women, while waiting, began to express dissatisfaction that help was not provided for a long time “, – the scenario of events was taught by the SBGS

Unrest arose in the part of Medininkai where single migrant women who came to Lithuania without families were accommodated.

According to G. Mišutis, a group of women screamed, made noise and approached the fence surrounding the camp, but the situation did not escalate into more serious clashes.

“It didn’t grow into aggression, there was no need to use spec. measures or forces. Border guards, police officers monitored the situation, talked. Until the ambulance arrived, they were noisy, ”said the interlocutor.

Doctors who arrived at the scene inspected the disabled migrant on the spot and decided that she needed to be transported to the hospital. What specifically happened to the unmarried migrant woman is not reported.

“About 10 p.m. she was taken to Vilnius, to Lazdynai Hospital. Now the information is that the aid was granted, there is no danger to health and life, now it is returned to the Medininkai camp. She spent the night in the hospital, “said a representative of the SBGS.

In the territory of the Border Guard School in Medininkai, when a migrant crisis arose, a camping of modular houses was urgently set up. About 800 migrants live here.
