Daimler has fully unveiled the Mercedes-Benz EQS electric car. It offers interesting parameters, comparable to the competition.

Elektromobil Mercedes-Benz EQS offers the aerodynamic coefficient cd = 0.20, which makes it currently the most aerodynamic car in the world. Thanks to this, the battery with a capacity of 107.8 kWh (396 V) can reach a range of up to 770 km WLTP.
The power of the car is up to 385 kW, in the future a version with a maximum power of 560 kW should be available. It is possible to charge with an output of up to 200 kW, the on-board AC charger has an output of 11/22 kW. In Japan, the car will be available with two-way charging!

The EQS is also the brand’s first car over-the-air (OTA) updates will be available. This function thus reached the Mercedes-Benz brand ten years after it was massively deployed by the American one Tesla in electric cars Tesla Model S.

Like the Tesla, the Mercedes-Benz EQS air conditioning also includes a specialized HEPA filter. Depending on the equipment level, the car can be equipped with up to 350 sensors. The driver is assisted by a number of assistance systems, including parking ones.

At the same time, EQS is ready for the Automated Valet Parking (AVP, SAE level 4) function, ie automatic parking – but only in car parks that are also equipped with this technology. Drive Pilot automatic steering system can drive the car completely independently up to a speed of 60 km / h on the highway in traffic jams.
So far, two versions have been announced, the EQS 450+ (rear-wheel drive, 245 kW) and the EQS 580 4MATIC (all-wheel drive, 385 kW). Acceleration 0-100 km / h can in 6.2 s, resp. 4.3 s. Max. speed is limited to 210 km / h for both.

The maximum recuperation power is 186 kW, resp. 290 kW. As standard, the on-board charger has an output of 11 kW, or 22 kW for an additional charge. Dimensions (l, w, h) are 5216 mm, 1926 mm and 1512 mm. So it’s definitely not a wren! Pour up to 610 liters as standard into the trunk, 1770 liters after folding. The car weighs three tons!
