A meeting between the foreign ministers of Japan and China has reportedly been canceled after several Baltic missiles from China are said to have landed in Japan’s economic zone, reports the Japanese newspaperAsahi.
The Reuters news agency writes that Japan claims five missiles have landed within its territory.
Night to Friday Norwegian time, AFP reports that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemns China’s firing of missiles around Taiwan.
– It is a serious problem that affects our national security and the security of our citizens, says Kishida, quoted by AFP.
