Some titanium parts of Boeing 787 aircraft were weaker than they should be, journalists found out.
Specialists from the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing have identified new defects in the 787 Dreamliner line. About this on Thursday, October 14, reported Wall Street Journal.
According to the sources of the publication, we are talking about defects in titanium parts of airliners.
“Boeing is facing a new defect in its 787 Dreamliner. The problem is that some of the titanium parts of the 787 aircraft built over the past three years have been weaker than they should be,” the report says.
As indicated, the company has already commented on the information. A Boeing spokesman said the facility “has increased its focus on quality and continually encourages all members of the team and supply chain to raise any issues that require attention.”
Recall that in July this year, the concern warned about the need to upgrade 787 Dreamliner aircraft, who are awaiting delivery to customers. In this regard, the production of such aircraft was temporarily limited.
