He Drinking Water and Sewerage Service of Lima (Sedapal) proposed to increase the rates of the potable water and sanitation service by 8.7% per year for residential users from this year to 2022.
The head of the state company, Francisco Dumler, explained to the newspaper “Management” that the Optimized Master Plan (PMO) that Sedapal presented to Sunass, proposes that, in the case of drinking water service, an annual adjustment of 7.6% be made; for sewage service, 10.8% per year; and for the groundwater use monitoring and management service, an annual increase of 9.42%, for 2020, 2021 and 2022, respectively.
According to Dumler, these tariff adjustments would cover part of the investments planned for this three-year period, which begins in October 2020 and requires an investment of S / 15.8 billion.
