It is said that in the beginning the name of the car consisted of two letters like other Lexuses – BX. However, “Citroen” objected to this, so the barely 4.2 meter long crossover became “LBX”. Although only 4.2 meters long, it’s a real Lexus, with proper stance, explosive optics and magnetic door locks like the latest Lexus RX. Only door pulls are missing! It would be a sensation for cars of this size. However, the windshield washers are directly borrowed from the large sedan “Lexus LS”.

Also, the engineers of “Lexus” have worked hard to achieve a noble door closing sound. The 1.5-liter gasoline hybrid engine is the closest point of contact with Toyota. However, “Lexus” has a bigger battery and, accordingly, more power – 136 horsepower instead of the usual 116. If desired, “LBX” will also be able to get an electric all-wheel drive. There is no other “LBX” engine.
“LBX” is the first model in the history of “Lexus” created exclusively for the European market. And here a natural question arises – who is the target audience of “Lexus LBX”?
