Less than 4% average infection rate in New York

According to the most recent state figures in relation to the fight against COVID-19.

The contagion rate in the state is 3.54%; While the average number of infections in a 7-day period is 4.04, the lowest since November 30.

Regarding hospitalizations, 7,680 were registered; the lowest number since Christmas Day.

That number has dropped by more than 800 in the last week. Even though 135 New Yorkers passed away on Thursday.

And while in New York City, Mayor de Blasio confirmed a rate of infections of 7.9% in an average of seven days.

This is the lowest figure that has been reported throughout the week.

There were 266 new hospitalizations and nearly 3,900 new cases Thursday.
