The lawyer Cristián Rosselot remained in temporary hospitalization, after allegedly trying to hang your partner in the commune of San Felipe, in the Valparaíso region.
The man was formalized for two crimes of threat in the context of domestic violence (VIF), one felony of serious injuries and two felony of less serious injuries.
The detainee in 2019 went “viral” after spreading a recording of a supermarket, where he threatened workers in a supermarket in Pirque.
In the first instance, Rosselot was arrested for the crime of frustrated femicide, since he would have tried to hang his partner, however, the Prosecutor’s Office formalized him for the five crimes.
For this reason, the Public Ministry requested the preventive detention measure considering the accused a danger to society, however the defense requested the suspension of the procedure alluding to the fact that the lawyer had committed the crime in a state of “mental derangement,” according to the San Felipe prosecutor, Andrés Gallardo.
This happened last Tuesday, when Carabineros personnel were alerted to an act of domestic violence. After arriving and making contact with the victim, she told them that her partner tried to suffocate her.
For now, Rosselot remains in provisional hospitalization inside a psychiatric hospital in Putaendo, pending the results of examinations that determine whether or not this person is unimpeachable.
Within the police record of the accused there are causes that have been dismissed, such as the alleged assault on a butler of the building in which he resided in Las Condes, assaulting a gendarme, driving while intoxicated, domestic violence, among others.
