The families of Latvian diplomats have left the territory of Ukraine, and Latvians are also being urged to leave the country. About this on Sunday, February 13, informed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics on Twitter.
“Family members of employees of the Latvian embassy in Ukraine (citizens of Latvia) have left Ukraine. Considering that some airlines stop flights to Ukraine, I ask you again not to go to Ukraine and leave Ukraine as soon as possible,” the message says.
At the same time, Rinkevics assured that the Latvian embassy in Kiev continues to work.
According to the Latvian Foreign Ministry, about 2,000 Latvians are currently on a short visit to Ukraine, and another 900 fellow citizens permanently reside in our country.
