Crime writer and musician Jo Nesbø has put another solid year behind him. The recent annual accounts in Nesbø’s two companies Skriveverkstedet as and Hettemåke as show that he had a total turnover of over NOK 58 million last year.
In the newly established company Hettemåke as, he earned NOK 47.1 million before tax, of which NOK 45.5 million is stated as royalty income.
Skriveverkstedet as can report a profit before tax of NOK 10.3 million. Nesbø has not taken out salaries or dividends from any of the companies.
The success of “Knife”
In June last year, Nesbø published “Kniv”, the twelfth book in the series about the police investigator Harry Hole. Like the rest of the books in the series, the book quickly became a success, including as a top seller in the UK. The first edition was 200,000 copies.
At the same time, the former football player, financial analyst and graduate economist is further increasing his investments.
