American actress Jennifer Lopez made a significant investment of her own money to finance a documentary about her love story with Ben Affleck, in which she talks about her new film project, also about her love story.
The next project, This is Me Now: A love Story, It was described by JLo as her “most personal” work so far.as it will tell in a “meta” way, with Jennifer playing herself, what the 20 years without Affleck were like, and the obstacles and relationships prior to their reunion.
There is no doubt that the star has known how to exploit her story with the actor Pearl Harborbecause in the midst of promoting her next film, which will feature her own husband, she also released a documentary in which she explains how it was made: The Greatest Love Story Never Told (The Greatest Love Story Ever Told).
According to the magazine Varietythe making of the documentary, and the entire project that involves it, represents a financial bet for Jennifer, who invested 20 million dollars of her own money to bring it to light.
The documentary features the appearances of several celebrities involved in the making of the new “meta-movie” of the ‘Diva of the Bronx’. One of them is Jane Fonda, a friend of López since they met in 2005 in the romantic comedy Monster-in-Law (If you get married I’ll kill you).
As told in the documentary, after López and Affleck married in 2022, Fonda was the first to contact López to make a film, at that time not well defined, about her previous romantic failures.
The Greatest Love Story Never Told is one of the components of a three-part multimedia project, self-financed by JLo, which examines the life of the singer and businesswoman as a kind of series, based on her romantic relationships.
Is ‘Bennifer’s’ love story not believable?
In the documentary, Fonda explains that at first she did not trust the solidity of Jennifer López’s project, as she was concerned about the image that the couple gave since their honeymoon in Paris in 2022.
