“Investigator case” Angels is still in full swing Inland

The prosecutor said that in the Leeuwarden court on Friday morning. Nine suspects arrested at a first pro forma hearing appear in March and April. The trial is the first in about twenty years to feature a criminal civilian infiltrator. The drug was abolished in the late 1990s, but it has been allowed to be used again since 2014.

During the hearing, it became clear that infiltrator A-4110 was already an informer in 2018 before he was approached by a member of the motorbike club Red Devils, a support club of the Hells Angels, to find a buyer for a batch of speed. The informant collected information for two years for the police and the Public Prosecution Service and participated in criminal offenses, under the watchful eye of the police and the Public Prosecution Service.

The suspects’ lawyers strongly criticize the efforts of the undercover officer. They especially believe that the scope of the investigation does not justify the use of a criminal civilian infiltrator. Some weapons have been found and over 80 kilos of speed have been traded. The gang also wanted to get 300 kilos of coke from South America, according to the Public Prosecution Service. According to the lawyers, this is an average drug and weapon investigation.

The officer indicated that the infiltrator was used because ordinary investigative means failed to gather evidence against the Hells Angels. Five undercover officers were deployed: three police undercover officers and two civilian infiltrators.
