Instagram allows you to schedule posts from the same API

Facebook has announced a new feature on the Instagram Graph API platform to make it easier for businesses to post and schedule content. Since last January 26, there is the option that the Instagram business accounts schedule and post to their Instagram news sections from third-party platforms.

The companies, explain in the post of Facebook for Developers, “They have told us that they do not publish content in Instagram spontaneously, but they plan their posts in advance in order to better connect with their audiences. Additionally, some companies plan their posts on distributed teams with complex approval processes. With the Content Publishing API, companies can now more easily plan their campaigns, as well as create internal processes related to publishing content through the platform of their choice ”.

Limit of 25 posts in 24 hours

The Content Publishing API will support scheduling and performing posts with a photo or video in the Instagram news feed – At the moment it is not available for ‘stories’ – and only for Instagram accounts for companies.

The two services owned by Facebook are increasingly integrated.

Each Instagram account for companies will have a limitation of 25 publications made by the API in a variable 24-hour period. This frequency limit will not affect other posting methods, so a business Instagram account will be able to post additional posts using the native Instagram app or Facebook Creator Studio if you exhaust the daily API frequency limit.

To access the new endpoints of the Content Publishing API, developers must submit a request through the review process of the application and your apps must comply with Facebook’s developer policies and platform conditions.
