Infographic This Will Happen If the Sun Disappears

JAKARTA, iNews.id – What if Sun suddenly disappear? The sun is known to have become an important source of energy for life on Earth Earth over the last 4.5 billion years.

If this happens, it is likely that humans on earth will not notice for about 8.5 minutes. Because nothing travels faster than light, including the pull of gravity, so we don’t notice something is missing. However, when the last rays of the sun fall to the other side of the earth, the sun suddenly disappears and the earth will be shrouded in darkness.

Quoted from Futurism, Tuesday (14/9/2021), if the sun disappeared, this planet would travel to interstellar space at a speed of 18 miles per second. Within two seconds, the moon, which normally reflects sunlight, also darkens. Planets in the solar system that flicker visible on earth stop reflecting sunlight.

The temperature will start to drop and the earth will start to freeze. It takes millions of years for the planet to completely freeze solid objects. Up in the Earth’s crust, temperatures will drop below 0 degrees Celsius in the first week. This temperature will continue to fall until it reaches -100 degrees in the first year.

Earth will eventually stabilize at around -240 degrees for several million years, while geothermal energy is still at work. Likewise with the life of other earth creatures. Photosynthesis will soon stop and all plants will be destroyed.

Most of the species on this planet would only survive a short time before they too were wiped out in the biggest extinction event in the history of this tiny world. Between extreme temperatures, panic, and the collapse of civilization, a large part of the human population will also be wiped out.

The few that survive will need to migrate closer to the center of the earth, subsisting on geothermal energy in a matrix-style city. Eventually, the planet will freeze and the earth will become a boulder that sails through space.
