On June 30, 10-year-old Irina Khimich died in Vinnitsa. The girl had a very rare disease – Progeria or Hutchinson-Guildford syndrome. Her body was aging abnormally quickly. About the tragedy in Facebook reported her mother – Dina Khimich.

“Ira died. Her heart stopped yesterday. Sorry, honey, that I could not save you this time,” wrote Dina Khimich.

Ira was the only one in all of Ukraine with such a diagnosis. Her life was kept alive with expensive drugs. At the age of 10, she suffered two strokes.

Volunteers collected money for medicines. However, the girl herself earned. She created chokers and various jewelry.

We will remind, last year in Lutsk an eight-year-old girl died due to a rare disease, which provoked accelerated aging. The girl’s name was Anna Sakidon, she was from the small village of Kachin in the Kamen-Kashirsky region. Previously, she was diagnosed with a gene mutation – Hutchinson-Guildford syndrome.
