In Russia, over the past day, the number of deaths due to the coronavirus COVID-19 increased by 890 against 886 the day before. This is a new high since the start of the pandemic, the operations headquarters said on Sunday, October 3.
In total, 209,918 Russians became victims of the pandemic. Conditional mortality from infection increased to 2.77%.
In particular, 65 deaths were registered in Moscow, 59 in St. Petersburg, 46 in the Sverdlovsk region, 37 in the Saratov region, and 32 in the Krasnodar region.
The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation increased by 25,769 per day – up to 7,586,536. In absolute terms, the increase in the number of cases became the maximum since January 2. In relative terms, it was 0.34. Currently, over 650 thousand people are ill in the country.
The number of those recovered per day increased by 15 391 – up to 6 725 965. The share of discharged patients decreased to 88.7% of the total number of infected.
