About five minutes after taking off, something like a “boom” was heard on the plane. The cabin begins to smell of smoke. After landing, the flight attendants talked to my colleagues and told them about the engine problem. They calmed them down. This was said by the representative of the police union Italy Celere Andrea Chekini in front of bTV for the incident with a Bulgarian plane over Italy.
Thanks to the timely actions of the Bulgarian crew, no serious consequences have occurred and all are unharmed. Following the crash, the plane landed back in Catania. There were 42 passengers on board – 34 police officers guarding eight migrants being transported to Rome.
“I personally want to thank the pilot on behalf of the entire Italian police for saving the lives of my colleagues. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, “said Andrea Cecchini.
The airline transports passengers mainly to more than 17 cities in Germany and several more in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
