A son in his thirties who was accused of attempting to murder his father in his sixties was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The prosecution called for 12 years in prison, saying, “The crime is serious because it attempted to murder the victim, who is his father.”
In June of last year, Mr. A used a blunt flag to hit the back of his father, Mr. B, in his 60s. At first, Mr. B did not recognize that he was hit by his son, but he found out that his son struck him once more while moving to the hospital. It was investigated that Mr. A was once again wielding a blunt weapon at his father, B, in the car parked in the hospital parking lot.
When he learned that he was hit by his son, Mr. B said, “I will not report it to the police, so please get out of the car.” It was found that Mr. A ran away after getting Mr. B out of the car.

The reason A planned this was because of debt. He had a debt of about 4 billion won, borrowed in his father’s name.
It was investigated that his son A tried to resolve the situation by killing his father B, the debtor, when the debt repayment period came.
On this day, Mr. A reportedly said in his final statement, “I committed a great sin that I really shouldn’t do. I looked back on my life while living in prison, and I reflected a lot and regretted it.”
