Suhoor meal It is one of the most important meals that should be eaten during the month of Ramadan, in order to obtain the nutrients that the body needs during the hours of fasting, but how does the suhoor meal become healthy?

This question was answered by Dr. Amal Fathi Ibrahim, obesity and thinness consultant at Kasr Al-Aini Faculty of Medicine, explaining that the suhoor meal is as important and beneficial as breakfast, as eating it reduces the severity of hunger, the feeling of headache and laziness during the fasting hours, and reduces the intensity of the feeling of thirst during the fasting hours.

The obesity and thinness consultant explained that eating foods rich in fiber during the suhoor meal is one of the most important tricks that contribute greatly to protection from exposure to any health complications during fasting, so you should eat plenty of vegetables and fruits during this period.

Eating foods rich in complex carbohydrates significantly helps with healthy digestion and also contributes to feeling full for long periods, including local bread, oats, and legumes such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas.

She added that eating fiber during the suhoor meal has many other benefits for the body, including:

Fiber is rich in many important nutrients for the body and the body needs them during fasting hours. When you eat fruits and vegetables rich in fiber in the suhoor meal, you protect your body from lack of concentration during fasting hours, and increase brain activity.

Fiber is a great nutritional option that protects against many diseases, most notably cancer and gastritis, as well as indigestion problems.

Fiber contributes significantly to regulating blood sugar levels, avoiding feelings of dizziness and depression, and also works to regulate blood pressure levels and reduce its exposure to high blood pressure. Therefore, it is recommended to eat a banana at suhoor to regulate its levels during fasting.
