Heart Attack Survivors Reveal Meal They Ate Hours Before Injury!

Al-Marsad newspaper: Health experts warn against overeating, explaining that “heavy meals” strain the heart and can increase the risk of heart attack.

An earlier study found that people who ate unusually heavy meals were four times more likely to have a heart attack within two hours of eating.

Doctors in New Orleans asked 1,986 myocardial infarction sufferers what meals they had eaten before their ordeal, and of those, 158 admitted to eating a “heavy meal” within 26 hours of their heart attack and 25 ate a meal abundant two hours before the attack, according to the British Express.

British doctor Alison Zelensky said: ‘Fatty meals are particularly stressful on the heart, as well as contributing to high blood cholesterol levels.’

And she continued that unusually fatty meals can increase your risk of heart attack, possibly due to changes in blood flow and an increase in heart rate and blood pressure after eating, noting, ‘If you have heart disease, limit foods that contain a high percentage of fat and carbohydrates, especially in a large meal, a large party, or when dining out at your favorite restaurant.
