Health: Being overweight after menopause increases the risk of breast cancer

The Ministry of Health and Population said that being overweight is one of the most dangerous factors and working to increase the risk of many diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Population explained that weight gain after menstruation increases a woman’s risk of breast cancer because body fat affects the level of hormones.

And the Ministry of Health and Population continued, that women should continuously early detection of breast cancer with the initiative of the President of the Republic to provide free awareness, detection and treatment with the latest international protocols.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health confirmed that women’s health services are provided through 5,400 health units at the level of the governorates of the Republic and include 5,000 doctors and 5,000 nurses working within the initiative of the President of the Republic to support the health of Egyptian women, pointing to the continuation of work to raise the efficiency and development of the capabilities of those human forces To work with family planning and reproductive health services within the initiative.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that the units operate from Saturday to Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm, adding that the state provides all means of health care for women in the centers.
