He raises soybeans and corn in Chicago

Soybeans and corn ended the day higher in the Chicago market, in a session that had as news the increase in the price of soybean oil, after several days of losses that began last week.

The January contract for oilseeds gained 0.97% (US$5.24) to US$546.10 a tonne, while the March contract climbed 0.88% (US$4.78) to settle at 547.57 US dollars per ton.

Its by-products accompanied the uptrend in beans, with a 1.54% ($7.83) improvement in flour to $517.13 a ton, and oil ended its downtrend with an increase in 0.55% (US$7.72) which placed the closest contract expiry at US$1,399.92 per tonne.

In grains, corn improved 0.68% ($1.67) to close at $248.81 a ton, while wheat lost 0.38% ($1.01) to close its operations at USD 266.12 per ton.
