The decision to become a mother at nearly 50 was something that had been made for a long time actress Hilary Swank (48). Taking a break from her long film career and finding the right partner to raise the kids was a convergence that had to happen at some point. Until it arrived.
“I had a career but I wasn’t in the right relationship until… four years ago, and all the elements had to come together and be right,” said the winner of two Oscars for best actress.
Swank has been married to businessman Philip Schneider since 2018, after splitting from actor Chad Lowe, with whom she spent a decade, but no children. Hilary has revealed that she is expecting her twins on a certain datewhich for her has a unique and very personal meaning.
“My twins will be born on April 16, the same day my father was born”, reported the actress, who lost Stephen Michael Swank in October 2021.
Hilary shows her Christmas tree and her nomination
This Saturday, the actress unveiled her first Christmas tree armed with her pregnancy in tow. “All I want for Christmas is yooooouuus, ohhhhhhh baby(s)” (“All I want for Christmas is you kids,” Hilary wrote, pictured with two of her pets.
The actress had a normal pregnancy, except for the first two months where some typical symptoms of pregnancy, dizziness and nausea were present.
But in addition to her happy gestation period, Hilary Swank has received some other good news. She was recently nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series, and thus she greeted her mention of her on her Instagram account of hers. “I’m just catching up (which is quite common nowadays when you’re pregnant with twins and working full time on a TV show) but I wanted to jump right into saying what an INCREDIBLE HONOR it is to be nominated for a Golden Globe for my interpretation in Alaskan everyday, a show exposing the current horrific crisis of missing and murdered Native American women in Alaska. Thank you @goldenglobes for helping shine a light on this epidemic through this nomination. Grateful!
