It blew hard this Sunday throughout the department.

Storm Bella swept across part of France, including the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. In the Rhône, gusts of more than 100 km / h were recorded this Sunday evening: 129 km / h in Les Sauvages, 108 km / h in Lyon or 104 km / h in Bron.

The department’s firefighters intervened approximately 70 times between 4:30 p.m. and 1 a.m., in particular for branches or power lines on the ground. A tree also fell on the roadway rue Francis de Pressensé in Villeurbanne near rue Anatole France. Traffic was therefore cut off for part of the evening before returning to normal shortly before midnight.

Storm Bella, which did not injure anyone in the Rhône, on the other hand led to power cuts for around 34,000 homes in eastern and central France on Sunday evening.
