Team17 waited until after the presentations to let the world know when the interesting looking one would be released dark to horror fantasy strategy Gord. The date was announced with a new trailer.
The first of the studio Covenant.dev, which is composed of former developers of CD Projekt RED and other Polish teams, will be released on August 8th of this year in digital form on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game has a favorable price tag: €34.99 (converted to CZK 833).
Gord is similar to the frosty survival strategy Frostpunk, and the narrative and Slavic atmosphere to the successful The Witcher 3. It is a strategic adventure game that takes you to a dark and terrifying land with mythical creatures. But killing them will not be your only task. You have to collect resources and manage the city.
“Perform life-threatening tasks in this dark fantasy world while caring for people whose personal stories and well-being may determine the fate of your tribe,” beckon authors.
Those who can’t wait to play Gord can look forward to next week when he’ll be available as part of the Steam Next Fest demoverze. It will be available from 19 to 26 June.
