Pukach personally strangled the journalist. In 2013, the former lieutenant general sentenced to life imprisonment.

It was also reported that Pukach reduced term under “Savchenko’s law”… As you know, the convicted person has the right to file a petition for pardon after serving at least 20 years of the imposed sentence. In addition, according to Part 2 of Article 87 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, an act of pardon may replace a convicted person with a sentence of life imprisonment for imprisonment for a term of at least 25 years.
