The Swiss Givaudan, world number one in the aromas and perfumes sector, is in turn setting up production lines dedicated to the manufacture of hydroalcoholic gel, he announced Thursday, in response to the shortage of this product faced with the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its factory located in Vernier, in the canton of Geneva, the group has set up a production line which will make it possible to manufacture 60 tonnes of product over the next two weeks, in particular to donate it to hospitals in the cantons of Geneva and of Vaud which are among the most affected in Switzerland after the canton of Ticino, bordering Italy.
Other production lines will also be installed in the coming weeks in the United States and Europe, he said in a statement.
