The Gersthofer lawyer Roland Berckhemer died unexpectedly at the age of 72.

Friends refer to Gersthofer’s lawyer Berckhemer as an intermediary

Gersthofento which he belonged for a total of 47 years. “Tennis was his big hobby,” says his deputy at the time, Max Lenz senior. He is shocked by the death of his friend: “He was active, lovable, cooperative and always a mediator. Simply unique. ”Berckhemer was still working as an auditor at the Gersthof tennis club. There one mourns the loss of a valuable advisor, sponsor and sports comrade, whom the current chairman Günter Maurer describes as always loyal and helpful. The former handball player was also a member of TSV Gersthofen for over 50 years.
Roland Berckhemer was a very humorous person. In the year Lechana was founded, in the 1968/69 season, he was the first carnival prince whom Annig Rennig stood by as a princess. While he was only active for two years, his father came to the Gersthofer carnival through him. There the old town councilor Otto Berckhemer, who died in 2012 at the age of 89, became a cult figure of the Lechana. With his regulars’ table, the “Munteren Gersthofern”, Roland Berckhemer was regularly at the start of the carnival parades in Gersthofen with his own car. “His passion was people and dealing with them,” says Erika Berckhemer about her deceased husband. That is why it was very difficult for him to contact restrictions during the Corona period. Due to the pandemic and the resulting measures, there will only be a funeral service at a later date.
Berckhemer’s daughter is a well-known actress
But neither the pandemic nor a serious illness could rob him of his humor. Roland Berckhemer has lived with a donor organ since 2009. He suffered from chronic hepatitis for 30 years. This caused cirrhosis of the liver and a malignant tumor. After a liver transplant, he was able to continue leading a normal life and pursuing his daughter’s career. Susanne Berckhemer is a well-known actress who has already appeared in Tatort or in the telenovelas “In love in Berlin” and “Ways to happiness”. She is currently helping her mother on site. Roland Berckhemer’s pride and joy were his two grandchildren Paul and Marie, who also sorely miss their grandfather.
