General Motors Offers Unemployment Hitch Refund

Mexico City- General Motors de México will offer its customers the option to return a vehicle and receive a down payment if they lose their job.

The program, launched through GM Financial, is an extension to unemployment insurance offered by the manufacturer for consumers of its Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands.

“With this program, salaried customers who suffer involuntary loss of employment will have the option of returning the vehicle and the down payment will be returned to them up to a maximum amount of 200 thousand pesos,” General Motors said in a statement.

The program, which is available from this Wednesday, will provide coverage during the first six months of the contract with the financial company and may be valid from the second month.

“We want (clients) to have the peace of mind that, if they lose their job, they can return the vehicle and their down payment will be reimbursed so that they have the necessary liquidity to attend to their eventuality,” said Jorge Plata, director of marketing. of General Motors de México.
