The start of filling the first string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with gas was announced in early October.
The procedure for filling the second string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with gas began on Friday, December 17, informs operator company Nord Stream 2 AG.
“Similar to the procedure carried out on the first line, the second line will be gradually filled with gas in order to achieve the required level of volume and pressure,” the message says.
It is noted that earlier on the second line, commissioning works were successfully completed to control the integrity of the gas pipeline.
