It’s sad enough to spend years of your life building a career, making a name for yourself in the film industry, and getting known as the cannibalistic actor. So far you have come. The fear of scandal will leave you without projects and condemned to estrangement from public life at least until the subject is forgotten. For which, in the best of cases, it can take years. For now, Armie Hammer has to prove that the alleged messages in which he declared himself willing to eat his girlfriend in the literal sense are not a real threat.
